Her father was the head of the Opatija Health Commission for 20 years and was responsible for Opatija being proclaimed a royal health resort. Stephanie Glax faithfully captured his vision in her impressive artistic posters which displayed everyday life in this classy tourist destination. As one of the leading figures of Viennese Art Nouveau, she used her creative power to promote Opatija. In fact, one of the town's first travel guides features her illustrations.
